Responsibilities
Receive shipments: Assign KeyRecs, verify items
with PO, data entry in an accurate manner, tag and
distribute. Complete recievings within a 24 hour
time-frame.
Contact Vendors, Department Heads, and/or Buyers
regarding problems and resolve on the same day.
Clear unresolved hold area daily. Post inventory to
the sub-systems immediately upon completion and no
letter that mid-month or month-end. Packlist/Invoice
sheet, and/or call vendors. Conduct business in an
appropriate and professional manner. Ensure that all
merchandise has proper documentation to enter or
exit the store.
Qualifications
One year shipping and receiving or stockroom
experience, or equivalency; the ability to move or
manipulate heavy objects; demonstrated human relation
skills in dealing with customers; and a commitment to
provide excellent customer service required. Computer
and/or data entry skills may be preferred. A valid Utah
Driver's license with proof of insurability may be
required for persons in positions that require delivery.

Associate Accountant
University Bookstore/Accounting

Responsibilities
This position reconciles and pays Bookstore invoices in a timely manner according
to store guidelines. Will communicate with vendors regularly to resolve discrepancies
between vendor statements and Bookstore needs. As a member of the payment team,
communicates with Department Managers, Buying Team and Shipping and Receiving team
for problem resolution. Administers check request, purchase card reconciliation
and new vendor additions as directed by the supervisor. This position also prepares
financial and accounting reports for bookstore administration.
Qualifications
Four years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, and an understanding of basic
accounting principles, mathematical and spreadsheet skills; and demonstrated human
relations and effective communication skills required. Associate's degree in Accounting,
Finance or a related field is preferred.
Preferences
Four years of accounts payable experience. Experience working with computer
controlled inventories. Understanding and use of computer software, specifically
Word, Excel and email. Good written and verbal skills along with a high level of
organizational skills preferred. Work Schedule Full-time, 40 hrs/wk. Monday-Friday,

Associate Accountant

Data entry and reconciliation of campus order charges and payments. Provides
customer service to sponsored students with special needs. Maintain A/R accounts
including statement generation and posting of payments. Reconcile assigned general

Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the Director and Administrative Staff,
coordinates office and Bookstore activities, and supervises the Human Resource Department.
Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating travel arrangements, coordinating
and attending meetings, organizing special projects, and managing the budgetary
needs of the Bookstore Human Resource Department. Supervises support staff and the
HR Team. Drafts, proofreads, and/or edits correspondence, reports and confidential
documents. Serves as a coordinating member of the University's Bookstore Advisory
and Review Committee. Manages development/revision of Bookstore policies and procedures
and oversees all human resource functions including hiring/terminations, performance
appraisals, training, professional development, and employee relations. Interacts
with and resolves needs of on-and-off campus entities by most effective mode of
communication.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in business or equivalency required. Three years full-time
secretarial experience and demonstrated human relation and effective communication
skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory
experience preferred. This position has no responsibility for providing care to
patients.
Preferences
Six years administrative and supervisory experience. Office Management
or related degree preferred. At least three years budgetary development and administration
experience highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in human resources, including
hiring/terminations, employee relations and professional development. Proficient
knowledge of and demonstrated experience with MS Office computer software programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously and work effectively with University and Bookstore personnel. Work

Student Part-time positions require U of U student status (6 or more credit hours),
and a daily 3-4 hour schedule commitment Monday through Friday with Saturday availability,
amounting to 19-20 hrs/week.

Some Saturdays Computer Technician position to
provide technical assistance to the Computing
Solutions Department Staff and General
University Community as directed. Must have
thorough working knowledge of Apple Computers,
PC or equivalent component products.
Troubleshoots and determines disposition of
defective products. Prepare and control products
returned to vendor for repair, replacement,
refund or credit. A strong commitment to provide
excellent customer service is required.

Occasional Saturdays Data entry position to assist computer buyer. Primarily responsible for inputting and retrieving information from mainframe computer. Other duties include

Available Positions:
Event Sales Team Positions
These seasonal positions promote and conduct sales of insignia
wear and novelty items at U of U sporting events such as Football,
Basketball and Gymnastic Meets. Applicants must commit to working
the Football games on September 9, September 30, October 5, October
28, November 11 and November 25. Must be primarily available in the
evenings and weekends for six or more hours per event (approximately
30-35 events) during the month of August 2006 through March 2007.
Prefer mature, dependable and friendly applicants with good English
communication skills. Cashiering and/or sales experience is
